Home Remedies for Blackheads..

There are many home remedies for blackheads, so before you go to an expensive salon for extractions, try some items that are available right in your own kitchen or bathroom! Oatmeal, almonds, lemon juice, honey, tomato, egg whites, witch hazel, cinnamon and old toothbrushes are all effective home remedies for blackheads. Some of them work as scrubs, some as masks and some affect the skin chemically, but all of them help blackheads, have easily available ingredients and are super low-cost.

Blackhead Home Remedies and Treatments
..

Blackheads Treatment with Oatmeal and Almonds:

Mix oatmeal with grated almonds for a pleasant and effective facial mask and scrub. Wet the mixture so it is slightly damp, put it all over your face and then let it dry for 15 minutes. At the end of that time, wash it off while rubbing in a circular motion. Using this treatment 3 times a week will get rid of blackheads in about a month.

Use Lemon Juice and Egg as a natural Blackhead Remedy:

Lemon juice can be used alone or mixed with egg whites for a facial mask. In the case of the facial mask, use the same way as the oatmeal/almond mask. If using the lemon juice alone, apply all over the face three times daily and do not wash off. You can also make a scrub of lemon juice and cinnamon mixed together. Any of the home remedies for blackheads containing lemon juice may cause a skin reaction, so try a patch test (applying the mixture to a small area of skin) first.

Witch Hazel: A Proven Home Remedy for Blackhead and Pimples:

Using witch hazel as an astringent by pouring it on to a cotton ball and wiping the face with it nightly works over time. Honey is also one of the best home remedies for blackheads because not only do impurities stick to it (blackheads are caused by clogged pores), it also has natural anti-bacterial properties and can keep the blackheads from turning into pimples. You can apply honey directly to the face and let it dry for 15 minutes, then rinse off. Honey is difficult to remove so it may require rinsing several times.

Old Toothbrush Scrubbing for Blackheads Removal:

Scrubbing the face carefully with an old toothbrush is another one of the better home remedies for blackheads. This should be done every other night on slightly damp skin and must be done very gently. It should not leave scratch marks on your face; if it does, you’re doing it too hard. Use a baby toothbrush with extra gentle bristles for better results.

Reduce Blackheads with Tomato:

Cutting a fresh tomato into quarters and rubbing it over your face every day can reduce blackheads over time. Rinse your face after doing this or the smell will be off-putting.

Another recipe for a blackhead home remedy is to combine one quarter of a cup of very hot water with one teaspoon of Epsom salts and four drops of iodine. Mix well and then leave to cool until the mixture is warm but not hot. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and smooth it over the blackhead and surrounding area. Let the mixture dry and then leave on for 15
minutes, removing by gently rubbing with a washcloth.
